Located on the corner of Devine and Pulaski sits the Palmetto Compress and Warehouse Co., a historic cotton compress and warehouse founded in 1917. In 1985 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is currently in the process of being renovated to become an intricate part of student housing on the University of South Carolina’s campus.
